School Closing Policy

Please ensure to be on the lookout for notifications from the FM School District as to whether or not your son or daughter still has their scheduled FMYBL activity, or if it has been canceled!

The League depends on access to the Fayetteville-Manlius school gymnasiums for practices, scrimmages and games. In the event of inclement weather (such as a snow day) resulting in a school closure, all of the League activities for that day are cancelled WITHOUT EXCEPTION.  Also, if/when the District closes/cancels school or after school activities, we will also cancel all activities at the Shining Stars' gym. 

Last, please note that if school is cancelled on a Friday, the League will still hold activities on the Saturday afterwards as long as the school/district does NOT cancel/close on Saturday.  If the cancellation/closure occurs on Saturday, the League will attempt to reschedule the activities for another time, but this is not always possible, depending on gym usage and availability.

Note: All parents of FM students should receive the notifications via the Fayetteville-Manlius School News Notifier system.  If you do not, we strongly recommend you look into getting adding to their distribution list via their home page.  Per the District's instructions:  "Go to the Fayetteville-Manlius SNN home page enter your e-mail address and password in the appropriate fields and press the Login button. After you log in, your profile page will appear. Click the checkbox next to each notification you would like to receive and then click Update.
